Digital Goa, Mar 30 – Three time speaker of Goa legislative assembly and educationist Surendra Sirsat passed away after a brief illness at a private hospital in Mapusa Monday evening. He was 74. Sirsat started his political career as a councillor of Mapusa municipality. He was elected to the Assembly from Mapusa for 3 terms – 1977, 1989 and 1994.Sirsat was speaker of Goa assembly from April 1990 to March 1991.
