Goa records 128 fresh COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths

The state continued to report high number of coronavirus infections, as 128 fresh cases of the COVID-19 pandemic detected on Monday, taking the tally of active COVID-19 cases
to 1,429.

The COVID death count rose to 828 with two more patients losing the battle against the virus in the last 24 hours.

The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 57,712 of which 55,455 patients have defeated the deadly virus.

Around 101 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease on Monday.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of other urban health centres stand as follows: Margao- 161, Vasco – 90 cases, Panaji- 167 and Mapusa – 72 cases.

While, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 25 cases, Bicholim – 12 cases, Pernem – 19 cases, Valpoi – 2 cases, Curchorem – 16 cases and
Canacona – 12 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 26 cases, Betki – 20 cases, Candolim – 119 cases, Cansarvanem – 4 cases,
Colvale – 19 cases, Corlim – 23 cases, Chimbel – 39 cases, Siolim – 60 cases, Porvorim – 130 cases, Mayem – 1 cases,  Balli – 20 cases, Cansaulim – 63 cases, Chinchinim – 36 cases, Cortalim – 72 cases, Curtorim – 19 cases, Loutolim – 20 cases, Marcaim – 12 cases, Quepem – 9 cases, Sanguem – 2 cases, Shiroda- 3 cases, Dharbandora – 12 cases, Ponda – 111 cases and Navelim – 28 cases.
