Digital Goa, Feb 22 – Delta Corp has got the in-principle approval from the Goa government for the integrated resort with electronic Casino near Mopa Airport said Jaydev Mody, Chairman, Delta Corp. Delta Corp has bought close to 100 acres of land near Mopa Airport two years back to set up the resort. “We have got the in-principle approval from the government and we are waiting for it to be gazetted and notified where it becomes the single point clearance from the government, when things will become much easier. But we are on full steam on that and we are going ahead with that plan”,”he added. The integrated resort which is five minutes drive from the proposed Mopa Airport is going to be a family destination with shopping centers, water park, theaters, hotels, electronic casino, convention center etc., he informed. “We had applied to the Investment Promotion Board in Goa to make a single window clearance for a project like this. We have already acquired the land for that and we are working on the design. We have in fact completed our whole design round. We are into budgeting the whole cost of the integrated resort,”he said. “Being close to the airport the integrated resort would attract most of our players and families etc. That’s where our really big growth will come from,”the casino operator asserted.
