Municipal polls are like ‘mini assembly’ elections for NCP – Party observer Verma

Digital Goa, Feb 23 – Municipal elections in Goa are like ‘mini assembly’ elections for the Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) said party observer for Goa, Narendra Verma. “Nagarpalika Elections are elections at the grassroot level and hence are very important elections,” he added. The national NCP leader is in Goa to decide on seats and candidates for Municipal polls as well as to discuss and deliberate on measures to strengthen the party in Goa. He is holding meetings with chiefs of frontal organizations of NCP along with NCP MLA Churchill Alemao, party leader Juze Philip D’souza and others. He is also slated to visit Mapusa, Vasco and few other constituencies. Verma also informed that the party is in the process of trying to get like-minded parties on one platform in view of ensuing assembly polls.
