Digital Goa, Feb 25 – A 50-year-old lady from Sanguem who died within one hour of admission at South Goa District Hospital yesterday was found to be having Covid-19 infection. Doctors informed that the lady had symptoms of dry cough for 4 days prior to the day of admission and breathlessness since one day prior. She reported to hospital in a very critical state with very low oxygen saturation level, had a cardiorespiratory arrest in the casualty itself and succumbed to it, the doctors added. Another 80-year-old lady from Raia succumbed to Covid at GMC today taking the death toll of the state to 791. The covid positive cases in the state also witnessed a surge with 71 ( 4.3%) of the 1,632 testing positive for Covid. With 22 recoveries the active count went above the 500 mark and now stands at 531.
