Goa: Mining firms paid lower fees for land used to dump waste

The state government lost Rs 31 crore in revenue as the North Goa collectorate failed to verify the actual land area used by mining companies to dump mining rejects in non-lease areas, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report found.
