Digital Goa, Oct 30- Leader of opposition Digambar Kamat has written to South Goa Collector seeking immediate withdrawal of the permission given to South Western Railway and Railway Vikas Nigam Ltd. for closure of Level Crossing Road to carry out work of Railway Double Tracking. Referring to the protest at Nessai in the wee hours on Oct 28, Kamat said that the protests will continue during the next scheduled closure of level crossing at Guidolim, Chandor on Nov 2 and at Davorlim village on Nov 9. “There is every possibility that that strong opposition to the double tracking work may lead to law and order problem,” the letter warned. Kamat subsequently called on the collector and briefed him about the rising opposition to the ongoing work of railway double tracking. “I hope better sense will prevail & all permissions given to SWR will be withdrawn,” the senior Congress leader added.
