Goa begins process to set up 10 minor dams in Mandovi basin

While Goa continues to battle out the Mhadei water diversion issue with Karnataka in the Apex Court, the state Water Resources Department (WRD) has now initiated the process to set up ten minor dams in the Mandovi river basin. The ten water conservation projects are being taken up in locations as identified in the masterplan drawn up in 1999 for the basin.
