Digital Goa, Sept 29 – National Green Tribunal has given Goa government time till January 31, 2021 to finalise the Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP). An application was filed by the State of Goa seeking extension of time for finalizing the CZMP. Goa Govt had contended before the tribunal that the govt had taken all steps, and the delay was being caused by National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM). “Having regard to the significance of the expeditious action in the matter, we find that there is continued failure on the part of the State of Goa,” the court observed in its order.
