Digital Goa, June 24: Last rites of the 2 Covid positive patients who succumbed to Covid 19 in Goa were done in a crematorium at Ponda yesterday night by following the Union Ministry of Health laid protocol. Four ancillary support staff, one each of Hospicio and Covid Hospital at Margao and two of EMRI services were assigned the responsibility. A 85-year-old person from Morlem Sattari and a 58-year-old shopkeeper from Khariwada , Vasco were the first two casualties of the dreaded diseases in Goa. As per the earlier plan, the cremation was to be held in a crematorium in Vasco but last minute the administration decided against it and the final rites of both the deceased were performed in Ponda.
