Goa govt releases new SOP. Requirement of interstate permit to arrive in Goa using own or rented vehicle scrapped

Digital Goa, May 28: A self-declaration is needed now instead of Interstate Permit to enter in the State of Goa from any other state using own or rented vehicle or bus. The self- declaration form is to be filled online, downloaded from Goa Online portal, printed ,signed and submitted at the Goa border checkposts. Hard copies of forms are also available at the check posts for the convenience of people entering the state. Those found symptomatic during thermal screening at the border will be sent for mandatory Covid testing . Those who are carrying the Covid negative certificate from ICMR approved lab will be allowed to enter Goa while others will be taken for Covid-19 testing to testing centers located at District Hospitals in North and South Goa. After collection of swab samples , they will be allowed to go to their respective places of residence with instructions to remain under self-quarantine, till test results are telephonically conveyed to them. Every person entering the state will have to compulsorily install Aarogya Setu app and confirm status as SAFE before starting the journey. For those arriving in Goa via Air and Rail also a similar protocol of self-declaration form, thermal screening and on-arrival Covid testing will be followed. Those carrying Covid negative certificate will be allowed to proceed without further processes.
Meanwhile, for International passengers the MHA SOP of paid testing, paid 7-days quarantine and 7-days home quarantining will hold good.
