Digital Goa, May 27: Solid water management minister Michael Lobo today said that the chief minister is positive about starting restaurants including bar & restaurants in the state from June 1. “I have proposed to the CM to open restaurants after the end of current lockdown in order to commence the economic activity and job creation. CM has shown positive response and assured to take decision by May 30. He further said that MNREGA scheme is being revived in the state to provide job opportunities to thousands of rural youth who are rendered jobless due to Covid crisis. “We have requested the panchayats to identify youth who would be interested in taking up labour work under this scheme for remuneration of Rs 400 per day. He further informed that banks have agreed to waive off interest on the loans taken by small business in tourism sector besides extending the loan repayment time till December.
