ED attaches Rs 60 crore worth of properties in land grab case

Digital Goa, July 1 – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached immovable properties worth Rs 60.05 crore in Goa, linked to an alleged land scam involving Estevan Dsouza and others. The properties, held in the name of his grandmother Rosa Maria Dsouza, include land in Pilerne, Bardez, allegedly acquired using forged sale deeds and fake NOCs. This is in addition to a previous attachment of Rs 11.82 crore confirmed in April 2024. The case is based on multiple FIRs filed by Goa Police for cheating and forgery. ED’s probe found Dsouza and associates manipulated land documents to illegally acquire high-value properties. Dsouza played a key role in the alleged land scam, in collusion with Md. Suhail and others, informed ED.
