Jan 17 – Former Indian National Team coach Armando Colaco was honoured with the prestigious Dronacharya Award (Lifetime) for Football by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, in a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. Colaco, a trailblazer in Indian football, is the first Goan to receive this distinguished accolade, which recognizes his outstanding contributions to the game of Football in general and coaching in particular.
