Green Polls: Plantation drives planned for Polling officers and voters from select polling stations near NH

Digital Goa, Mar 16 –Voters at select polling stations located in the vicinity of National Highways will be planting medicinal or fruit bearing tree saplings after casting their vote, under a novel initiative named the ‘Green Highway’. In addition the polling team will plant at least 5 plants in each polling station. The plantations drive will be conducted by polling team immediately after setting up the polling booths.
