Digital Goa, Sept 27 – The deceased in the Torxem car and fish lorry head on collision have been identified as wife and son of Pune based businessman Piyush Gundecha. His 32-year-old wife Apurva Gundecha and one-and-half year old son Avyan died on the spot in the accident. 32-year-old Piyush and their four year son have been injured. Their domestic help Nikita has been referred to GMC. The accident reportedly occurred while Piyush was trying to navigate over a pothole on the National Highway, which he happened to notice at the last minute. The driver of the lorry who was arrested for rash and negligent driving was later released on bail. Police informed that the accident took place at the diversion point at Torxem where the work of road widening is going on. Piyush who is Managing Director at Alfa Chemicals was on his way to South Goa with his family, while the lorry was proceeding to Patradevi.
