Digital Goa, Apr 21 – All the collectorate offices will be fitted with CCTV cameras within 6 months time to enable Revenue Ministry to monitor the functioning of the mamlatdars, informed Minister Babush Monserrate. “The CCTV cameras in all the collectorate offices will be directly connected to my office as well as to the ministries secretary’s office for them to know the functioning,” said Babush. “I need to speak to the IT Minister regarding this. Within 6 months time this should be in place,” he added.
Mamlatdars should function in non-partisan manner, he asserted while adding that he has received specific complaints regarding the malpractices in the functioning of the mamlatdar offices.
Number of Mundkarial cases manageable, will be handled within 6 months time
Mamlatdars offices don’t have much difficulties as regards the Mudkarial cases and there are not as many cases as presumed, said Minister Babush Monserrate, further asserting that the deadline of resolving the cases within next 6 months will be met with. He said that he recieved this feedback after discussion with concerned officials in this regards. “However, one Mamlatdar is not enough to handle everything,” he added. He also hinted at reshuffling the full staff to bring in more efficiency. “Courts takes time, at least govt should not take as much time as the courts take,” he said and assured that the matters would be expedited.
Will discuss with CM regarding amendments for handling Alvara land matter says Babush
As regards Alvara land, Babush said that some amendment may be required to bring in uniformity while handling different types of Alvara cases. “Alvara land matter will be discussed with CM. We need to get some amendments done and also listen to the land owners demands,” he added.
