GSIA slams govt for not starting road repairs work in industrial estates despite allocation of funds
Digital Goa, Apr 11 – Goa State Industries Association(GSIA) today slammed the government for not starting the work to improve the condition of the roads in Industrial Estates despite the release of funds for the work. GSIA alleged that the road work related files are unnecessarily being moved from one govt office to the other. In addition reshuffle in bureaucracy, delay in appointment of chairman and unwarranted for clauses in tender documents is posing further hurdles . GSIA had raised the issue of pathetic road conditions in various industrial estates in November 2021, after which the then government had released Rs 5 crore out of Rs 10 crore budgeted to Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) for infrastructure improvement. However the road work has not commenced even though a month has passed after the formation of new govt, GSIA lamented. “I don’t understand, for how long we have to suffer for this,” he added.
