Digital Goa, Apr 8 – Total 21 people lost their lives in accidents in Goa in the month of February 2022 – 7 in North Goa and 14 in South Goa. Of the 21 deceased, 15 were two wheeler riders, 2 were pillion riders, 3 Pedestrian and one was a passenger. Directorate of Transport today released the monthly report of the number of accidents that occurred and number of Challans issued for the month of February 2022. As per the report there were 251 road accidents of which 21 were Fatal Accidents (North Goa – 07 and South Goa – 14), 14 Grievous Accidents (North Goa – 7 and South Goa – 7), 41 Minor Accidents (North Goa – 18and South Goa – 23) and 175 Non – Injury Accidents (North Goa – 97 and South Goa –78). 20 people were Grievously Injured (North – 07 and South – 14) while 69 persons suffered Minor Injuries (North – 30, South – 39). A total 1740 Challans were issued by Transport authorities in the month of February 2022.
