Digital Goa, Apr 28 – CM Pramod Sawant has been receiving backlash after video of a large gathering flouting covid norms at the inauguration of the bridge at Sakhali by CM has gone viral on social media. “I have told them to take action on all responsible for the overcrowding and also fine them,” said CM when queried by media persons. The Rs 8.12 crore bridge named after Shahid Second Liutenant Vir Jayendra Jayba Rane Sardesai was inaugurated at the hands of CM yesterday in the presence of local & Mapusa MLA and a large group of people.
Meanwhile, State Congress today filed a complaint against CM Pramod Sawant and 2 MLAs for violating covid norms. Congress said in its complaint that over 200 people were present at the event when gathering of over 50 persons is not allowed as per SOP.
