State facing deficit of 20 packets of plasma per day – GMC Dean

Digital Goa, Aug 28 – State is facing deficit of 20 packets of plasma per day informed GMC Dean Dr Bandekar. “ We are facing deficit of 20 packets of plasma per day. From Monday we will go aggressive with the plasma donation campaign,” he added. He also urged the people who have been cured of the dreaded disease to come forward and be plasma donors. Plasma therapy has been effective with many Covid infected patients in Goa. As of now 36 patients have received plasma and 60 percent of them have been cured. “We need 25 plasma packets per day, right now we are getting only 4 to 5 plasma packets per day through plasma donors,” informed Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane.
