Digital Goa, Dec 5 – Unemployment rate of Goa for the month of November 2022 is at 13.6 %. The rate is way above the national average unemployment rate of 8.1 %. Tourist season had officially commenced in Goa from October and the state has very high footfall of tourists, giving significant impetus to employment opportunities. Despite this, the state has recorded high unemployment percentage. Goa’s unemployment rate is 8th highest in the country, in the list of 26 states for the month of November. At 30.6% Haryana has the highest unemployment rate, followed by Rajasthan at 24.5 %. The state of Chattisgarh has least unemployment at 0.1 % followed by Uttarakhand at 1.2 %.
