The bail application of one Heena Pathan of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, who was arrested by the Colva police in a sex racket case, has been rejected by Assistant Sessions judge.
The Colva police had arrested Arun Kumar (28) of Panipat, Haryana, Satwant Singh (27) of Karnal, Haryana and Heena Pathan (34) of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra recently, and all three are lodged in police custody on remand.
The Colva police said that investigation has revealed that the trio brought three victim girls from other states for the purpose of prostitution and were living on their earnings.
The police stated that they had conducted a raid at the parking zone of the Colva beach where three accused had come along with the three victim girls.
The rescued girls were sent to the protective home at Merces and based on a complaint, the police had registered offences under Section 370 of IPC and sections 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act against the three accused.
