Digital Goa, July 27 : The one day Goa Legislative Assembly session today transacted huge business in record time with empty opposition benches. A motion to suspend the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business of the Goa Legislative Assembly and only the Business as listed in the list of Business be transacted and that all relevant Rules in its application was passed earlier. 11 govt bills were passed in the assembly today. However, much talked about Panchayat Raj Amendment bill was not introduced. Demands of grants for all the departments were passed without discussion. The question hour and obituary references to several legislators and other prominent personalities were also passed. Goa Forward chief Vijay Sardessai strongly censured the government for completing the business in such a haste, which he said would be the world record.
